ABOUT US
Our club support.
We the club support to all the deaf and hard of hearing whom somewhat at disadvantage in the mainstream community, we are working very hard to bring deaf people to the deaf community considering most of the deaf people are in despression, isolated, stress, lack of confidence and often face difficulty in the everyday life. Our deaf community does help to reduce despression, stress, isolated, gain confidence, enjoyable and easy communiate between deaf people considering we speak our common language which it is British Sign Language.
Our Team's
We are playing in the mainstream at the Fenton Manor Sport Complex at Fenton, Stoke on Trent. Our team are mostly deaf players, some are hard of hearing, learning disabilities and good heart hearing whom support the disabilities.
Deafness
As a sensory impairment, deafness is a hidden ’disability’. While deaf footballers compete regularly against their hearing peers, they face certain hidden disadvantages, such as not being able to hear instructions during a game when in motion, a referee’s decision or crowd reactions. These are all aspects of the game enjoyed by a hearing player and that can make a difference during the course of a match.
Under international criteria, to be eligible to compete in deaf football competitions, players must have an average hearing loss of 55 Decibels or more in the best ear. All players competing in deaf matches must remove all hearing aids before competing, which can affect balance - another important element for a hearing player’s game.
OUR VISION FOR 2007 to 2011
Stoke Deaf Football Club aims to work towards the ambition of being the highest ever ranked disabled football team in the football league.
The clubs undying ambition is to achieve professional status and move up the football league pyramid. With our ambition we have no reason to believe this cannot be achieved in the future.

Our aim is to create new Stoke Deaf Football Community, new deaf players, better training facilities and hopefully set up new partnership with Stoke City Football Community and SCWIM to find young Deaf and Hard of Hearing players because lots of deaf children are now going to mainstream school and the Deaf Community is fading quickly. ALMOST ACHIEVED!

We work hard with fund-raising, create Stoke Deaf Football Community and create Stoke Deaf Football Club Fan Base.
Also, we will try to set up a friendly match against Port Vale FC or Biddulph FC (It would be good for our fund.) Nothing is impossible, Hard work always pays off.
We aim to make Stoke Deaf Football Club to be the most successful Deaf Football Club in Europe and we have got nothing to lose.
We have got a bright future star who is an excellent goalkeeper and he is only 11 years old and can save from adult shooter. He is deaf and it is the reason why we want to improve our club and help our deaf and hard of hearing children to be part of the international stage.
Best Wishes
